Energy

October 13, 2015 by Olivia

Tantric energyEssential to Tantric and Taoist teachings is the understanding of life – ourselves and the whole cosmos – as an energetic process. Both traditions recognize a masculine and feminine balance and a vital life force, through which we can experience Oneness.

In Tantric teachings, the primal male is called Shiva. He is the initiating principle, consciousness and pure light. The female is called Shakti and is the essential nature of becoming, the dynamic energy behind and within manifestation, of bringing forth creation and generating life. The vital force that creates and sustains us lives within us, and is called Kundalini: this is the energy within the psychic body lying dormant at the base of the spine. We can learn to connect with it and through a process of removing blocks, reunite with our Divine Source and experience Oneness, Non-Duality.

The Chinese tradition of Taoism emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao, the source and essence of everything that exists. ‘Tao’ has many meanings, it is the ‘way’, ‘path’ or ‘principle’, and also ‘reality’ or ‘nature’. Whilst the Tao pervades all, we experience the polar opposite qualities of Yang (light, masculine) and Yin (dark, feminine) in constant dynamic engagement. These female and male energies both oppose and complement each other and can become balanced and integrate. When they meet in the union we experience Oneness. The Taoists refer to the vital essence that the Universe is made of as Qi.

Most people are familiar with various other types of energy work and healing modalities, such as Reiki, which similarly recognizes our energetic make-up and connection to Source energy and consciousness.

As energetic beings, we can work consciously with this essential life force, to effect positive change and realize ourselves more fully.

My work primarily catalyzes energetic processes, and all bodywork experienced in sessions has an energetic intent.

Working with the sexual energy is much more potent and effects transformation more rapidly and powerfully, but sometimes subtler work can be just as effective or more appropriate for the individual. It is important to note that working with sexual energy does not necessitate an erotic context. This is, ultimately, a yogic practice of internal alchemy, and the erotic hue is entirely optional.

In addition to the facilitation during sessions, you will be trained in techniques that you can employ on your own or with a partner to continue to grow and expand your energetic sensitivity, capacity and power.

Tantra Wisdom

Tantra has been called by many- The Path of Acceptance, mainly because it doesn’t exclude, criticize or condemn anything from the realm of experience. In fact it believes that you are perfect just the way you are. It asserts that there is no sin except for the forgetting of ones true nature.

Tantra gives you unconditional freedom, whatsoever you are and whatsoever you can be. Tantra puts no boundaries on you. It does not define you; it simply gives you total freedom. The understanding is that when you are totally free, then everything is possible.

Tantra is nothing more than a tool to help the individual remember.  Its nothing more than a set of techniques to help you connect the physical and mystical planes. It is never concerned with the question why, while consistently asking the question how.

The very scientific teachings of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra stays away from philosophic “Why” talk altogether. It presents students with a manual of 112 “How” techniques, each one with the potential to unlock the door to their authentic selves.

Among these very powerful tools are techniques centered around sexual intimacy, which is why Tantra is also called The Path of Love. Sex is one of the most powerful and creative human energies. Without sex, no species on this planet could survive. As such, sexual energy plays an integral role in healing and balancing our holy trinity of mind, body and soul.

Tantra says that sexual desire is built into the very fiber of our beings and should not be denied, but rather expressed in healthy ways. Denial in any form is a form of resistance and whatever one resists, persists. If this persistence goes on long enough it may turn into repression, that if not expressed, can result in blocked energy and bad health.

Tantra uses the 5 senses along with meditation, breathing, visualizing, mantra and many other elements to help the individual achieve supreme spiritual liberation.

The word Tantra comes from two Sanskrit words, Tanoi and Trayati. Tanoi meaning to expand and Trayati with two meanings – to weave together and also to liberate. So it can be said that Tantra is the expansion of mind, body and soul and the weaving together of Universal Truths, resulting in bliss, liberation and finally enlightenment.

Male Sexuality – Sex & Tantra

Facts about men’s sexuality

If a man cannot retain his semen, a woman will never know the glories of passion!

It takes men over the age of 35, eight days to recover the vital essence and chi lost in one single ejaculation. It takes men under the age of 35, four days to recover, and that’s if they are in good health.

  • 20% of male semen is composed of cerebrospinal fluid. Frequent ejaculation thus causes a chronic drain of the vital fluids that the brain and spine require to function properly. The resulting deficiency of cerebrospinal fluid can cause increasingly common conditions such as premature senility, inability to concentrate, chronic depression, loss of sexual drive, and a host of other related symptoms.” – Daniel P. Reid – The Tao of Health, Sex and Longevity
  • With the regular practice of practical, easy and effective Tantric techniques, it is possible for men to orgasm without ejaculating, thereby allowing them to become multi-orgasmic and vitally enriched from their sexuality, rather than depleted.
  • According to masters and Johnson, the medical definition of premature ejaculation is: When a man ejaculates before his partner orgasms, more than 50% of the time.
  • Alfred Kinsey found that 75% of men ejaculate within the first 2 minutes of penetration in over half of their sexual encounters.
  • Recent self reported surveys report 75% of men ejaculate within 10 minutes of penetration.
  • According to the Mayo Clinic, the average time of penetration is between 2-10 minutes.
  • If you don’t believe the above, we challenge you to time the actual period of penetration to ejaculation over several love-making sessions and see for yourself what your average is.
  • According to Mayo clinic, continued lack of ejaculatory control may cause one or both partners to feel sexually dissatisfied and may lead to sexual tension and discord in the relationship.
  • Interpersonal dynamics strongly contribute to sexual function, and premature ejaculation can be caused by lack of communication between partners, hurt feelings, unresolved conflicts, and lack of emotional intimacy.
  • William Reich theorizes; premature ejaculation may be the consequence of a stasis of sexual energy in the pelvic musculature, which prevents diffusion of such energy to other parts of the body.
  • “Ocean Breath” and breath control for both partners can assist in spreading the energy.
  • Simple toning exercises can significantly improve ejaculatory control for men, by strengthening the p.c. muscles.
